Phil Keim has a professional background working for nonprofits, in higher education, as a public school teacher, and in various roles at government agencies. His undergrad and master’s studies focused on human rights through the lenses of peace and conflict studies, environmental justice, and policy. His studies and work have allowed him to learn and pursue projects in Chile, Colombia, Spain, Israel & the West Bank, and in several states in the US. Currently, Phil works for the City of Portland as the Policy Coordinator for the Cannabis Program in Oregon, United States of America.
Phil’s photographic interests include social documentary photography during protests, street photography, landscapes, and capturing personal memories with friends and family. He is also a musician, with decades of experience singing, playing guitar, piano, and percussion, and composition and performance.
